Through the Pokemon GO Facebook page Niantic has shared that they have released Pokemon GO in Central and South America for the first time. Just in time for the Rio Olympics!

They also stated that they are bringing back the Battery Saver mode on iOS devices. They had to remove the feature because many users were experiencing bugs. Within the next several days, it will be reinstated in an update. Niantic has been very good at working on bugs and keeping the app updated so that people can experience it without issues.

They also stated that they had erroneously granted Legendary Pokemon to trainers and have decided to take them back.
