Samsung has now confirmed that a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage exists. BUT it is China-specific and is unlikely to make it to any other markets. The Note 7 was recently announced with 4GB RAM but was expected to have more. Sorry to Samsung fans around the world other than China, but you probably will never see this come to you.
Chinese companies have been aggressively putting high-capacity memory in their devices. Local Chinese brands such as OnePlus 3, LeEco Le Max 2, and Vivo Xplay 5 Elite all include 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configurations. Samsung would like to keep up with the spec wars in the Chinese market in order to be seen as a high-end device manufacturer.
The Note 7 sells for over $800. With extra internal storage and more RAM, the price would only increase anyway. Would you be willing to pay that much more for the extra specs?
